The Jade Hummingbird Aloe Soap is the one people pick up and turn over in their hands before they buy it. Swirls of deep jade and cream, a speckled dark crown along the top, and our hummingbird stamped in gold. It looks like something you'd set out on the guest sink on purpose.

And then you use it, and it lathers into a soft, creamy foam that smells like a sunny field in the late afternoon.

✦ The Scent

A blend of essential oils we mixed by hand until it smelled right: sweet, green and warm, like walking through tall grass and wildflowers on a summer day. Nothing sharp, nothing perfumey. Just the outdoors, softened.

• Aloe Vera — The heart of this bar. Leaves skin feeling cool, calm and comfortable after rinsing.
• Coconut Oil — Gives the bar its generous, bubbly lather and a firm long-lasting shape.
• Shea Butter — Rich in vitamins A, E and F. Leaves skin feeling soft and comfortable after rinsing.
• Rice Bran Oil — A light, silky oil that makes the lather feel smooth rather than squeaky.
• Avocado Oil — Naturally rich in fatty acids, it gives the bar its gentle, cushioned feel.
• Castor Oil — The secret to a thick, stable foam that lasts through the whole shower.
• Essential Oil Blend — Our own sweet meadow synergy, blended in small batches.

✦ How to Use

Lather between wet hands or on a washcloth and enjoy. Between uses, keep the bar on a draining soap dish so it dries out completely. A cold-process bar that sits in a puddle disappears twice as fast.
